Authentic Lineage
Learn Ashtanga Vinyasa and Hatha Yoga rooted in Vedic traditions.
This 200 hour YTT Bali program trains you to teach Hatha, Vinyasa, and introductory Ashtanga on our Klungkung campus — not just follow along in class. You work through asana, pranayama, anatomy, teaching method, and philosophy with the same teachers from week one through graduation.
A typical morning at the Klungkung shala — Yogi Ashish Ji
“I open the shutters around 6:15am. You hear geckos and the rice-field irrigation before anyone speaks. We start with ten minutes of quiet breathing, then build the morning Hatha block pose by pose — not rushing into flow. In the March batch last year, three students could not hold a steady chair pose on day two; by day twelve they were cueing it to the group. That is what Klungkung gives you: the same shala, the same schedule, long enough that the body and teaching voice actually change.”
— Yogi Ashish Ji, lead trainer, Divinepath Klungkung campus

How Divinepath’s 200 Hour YTT in Bali Is Different

The training emphasizes small group sizes, structured daily practice, and traditional alignment-based teaching to support deeper learning and personal growth.

Divinepath Yoga School & Retreat welcomes English-speaking international students from around the world. This program is taught fully in English and follows a globally recognized Yoga Alliance curriculum designed for diverse cultural backgrounds and learning styles.

Skills and Teaching Outcomes
Students who complete the 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training program in Bali develop the skills required to teach Ashtanga Vinyasa and Vinyasa Flow yoga safely and confidently. The training includes in-depth anatomy and alignment sessions alongside practical teaching modules, ensuring graduates understand how to adapt postures for different body types and experience levels.
Why Divinepath Klungkung — Not Ubud or Canggu
Bali has several yoga-training hubs — Canggu, Uluwatu, Seminyak, and Ubud among them. Our Klungkung campus on Jalan Pura Dalem, Satra is a dedicated residential training centre in east Bali, not a walkable tourist strip.
From the open-air shala and cottages you look across rice paddies toward the village Pura Dalem temple — a short walk from campus. Batches stay at 10–15 students. Ubud’s cafes and shops are roughly 40 minutes by car, which keeps most trainees on property between morning and evening sessions. One-way Ngurah Rai (DPS) airport transfer is included in the course fee.
Klungkung vs Ubud: Key Differences

Syllabus — Modules & Hours
In the 200 Hour YTT in Bali, asana practice is the heart of the training. You will study traditional Hatha Yoga postures and Ashtanga Vinyasa series. Each class focuses on alignment, safe entry and exit, use of props, and how to guide others into the pose. Over time, your body gains flexibility, strength and confidence, while your mind learns to stay present.
By the end, you’ll not only master the basic poses but also understand how to sequence them into a complete, balanced yoga class.
You will be introduced to a range of breathing practices to expand lung capacity, balance energy and calm the mind. Practices include Nadi Shodhana (alternate nostril breathing), Kapalabhati (cleansing breath), Bhastrika (bellows breath), and Ujjayi (ocean breath). Each technique is explained in simple steps with focus on correct posture and rhythm.
Regular practice of pranayama improves focus during meditation and prepares you for deeper yoga practice.
Meditation training builds mental stillness and self-awareness. In this program you’ll explore different methods: breath observation, mantra meditation, trataka (candle gazing), and guided mindfulness. Each practice starts short and simple, then grows as your comfort increases.
The goal is not only to sit quietly but to carry this awareness into daily life and into the classes you will teach.
Chanting mantras helps to focus the mind and connect with the deeper energy of yoga. In Bali, you will learn simple Sanskrit mantras like Om, Gayatri Mantra and Mahamrityunjaya. Teachers explain their meaning, correct pronunciation, and how to use them for meditation and teaching.
You will learn the basics of human anatomy as it relates to yoga: skeletal system, joints, major muscles and their action in poses. Teachers also explain the respiratory and nervous systems, and how breath and stress affect the body. This knowledge helps you guide students safely and adapt poses for different needs.
Here you will learn how to align postures safely and how to give supportive adjustments. Emphasis is on verbal cues, use of props, and hands-on help (with permission). You will also study common misalignments and how to correct them gently.
You will explore yoga philosophy in simple and practical ways. Topics include Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras, the Eight Limbs of Yoga, basic ideas from the Bhagavad Gita, and how ancient wisdom applies to daily life and teaching.
Shatkarmas are traditional yogic cleansing practices. You will learn their purpose and how simple techniques can support digestion, breathing and energy. In Bali training, teachers demonstrate safe, beginner-friendly variations and explain precautions clearly.
This part of the course prepares you to step into the role of a yoga teacher. You will practice giving instructions, planning a class, sequencing postures, using props, handling mixed-level groups, and building confidence in front of students. The goal is for you to leave the course ready to teach your first real class with clarity and ease.

About Divinepath Yoga School at Klungkung
Divinepath Yoga School & Retreat is a Yoga Alliance USA Registered Yoga School (RYS-200/300/500). We opened the Klungkung campus at Jalan Pura Dalem, Satra, as a dedicated residential training centre in quiet east Bali — separate from our central Ubud campus on Jl. Bisma.
Over the years we have trained and hosted students from more than 30 countries. The Klungkung 200-hour runs in monthly batches capped at 10–15 students, with the resident teaching team profiled below. Curriculum standards across our India and Bali campuses are overseen by Rajesh Rawat Ji. Read more on our about page.

What Graduates Say About Their 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training in Bali
Rated 4.8/5 from 5 graduate reviews on this page. Read verified reviews on Google (Klungkung campus).
Glad I picked Klungkung over Ubud
“I almost booked Ubud but wanted somewhere quieter. Klungkung was exactly that — morning walks past rice fields, then back-to-back asana blocks. Twenty-three days felt long enough to actually teach a full class without panicking.”
Emily Johnson · USA
Kirtan nights broke the routine
“The Saturday kirtan and campfire were the surprise highlight. During the week it is strict — early starts, long philosophy sits — but Wayan made the Ayurveda lectures feel grounded, not textbook. Small group of twelve meant I got corrected in adjustments more than once.”
Luca Müller · Germany
Shared room, no complaints
“Shared cottage was basic but clean — two beds, hot shower worked. Meals were vegetarian and actually filling after three hours of practice. The one-hour massage mid-course was unexpected. I registered as RYT-200 two weeks after I flew home.”
Sarah Mitchell · Australia
First time teaching, real feedback
“I had never taught before. With only fourteen of us, Saurav could watch my demo class properly and tell me what to fix. Adjustment labs were the most useful part — not the Instagram-perfect flows I expected.”
James Okonkwo · UK
Farm visit stuck with me
“Wayan's philosophy sessions tied the farm visit and temple trip to the yoga we were doing — not separate tourist add-ons. Schedule is packed; I was tired by week two. Still finished feeling ready to teach Hatha at my studio.”
Priya Sharma · India

Ashtanga Vinyasa & Vinyasa Flow Yoga in the 200-Hour Syllabus
Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga
As part of the 200-hour YTTC, students will learn the main sequence of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga Asana, also known as Yog Chikitsa (Yoga Therapy). This style of yoga was created by Pattabhi Jois to help heal, detoxify, and align the body and mind, particularly the spine.
To build heat and connect with the breath, the practice begins with standing postures and sun salutations. The primary series’ first half, which follows the standing positions, focuses on forward bends that target the back, hips, and hamstrings. The middle section emphasizes flexibility, while the third section blends strength with deeper flexibility. Regardless of the series, the final positions remain the same, consisting of healing poses designed to relax and restore balance.
Vinyasa Flow Yoga
Vinyasa Flow, also known as Vinyasa Krama Yoga, was founded by T. Krishnamacharya. In the modern world, this dynamic style of yoga has gained immense popularity. As part of the 200-hour TTC, students will explore a variety of sequences, including:
- Hip Opening Flow
- Free Flow Sequences
- Peak Posture Flow
In addition to Vinyasa practice, students will also participate in Hatha Yoga and Restorative Yoga sessions. At the end of the training, evaluations will be based on how effectively students can teach the Vinyasa sequence to their fellow trainees.
Who Should Join the 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Bali?
Can Beginners Do the 200 Hour YTT in Bali?
Yes — beginner yoga teacher training in Bali is possible here if you have practised regularly for at least six months and can commit to the full 23-day Klungkung schedule. You do not need to teach beforehand or be flexible. We build from foundational Hatha and add load week by week; most students in each batch are first-time teacher trainees, not advanced performers.
This Klungkung batch suits you if you want residential 200 hour yoga teacher training Klungkung Bali without the distractions of a tourist strip — and you are ready for early mornings, homework, and teaching your peers from week two onward.
- Beginners with at least six months of regular practice who want structured teacher training — not a holiday yoga week
- Intermediate students ready to teach Hatha and Vinyasa in a 23-day residential batch
- Practitioners who have been on the mat for two or more years and want a Yoga Alliance RYT-200 credential
- Wellness professionals (massage therapists, fitness coaches, retreat staff) adding yoga to what they already offer
- Career changers who can commit to 22 nights on campus in Klungkung without checking out early
We keep batches at 10–15 students so the teaching team can learn your name in the first week. You do not need to be flexible or advanced — you do need to show up on time, follow the school guidelines, and do the homework.
Hatha and Ashtanga on the Klungkung Campus
Most mornings at Klungkung start with Hatha — slower pacing, longer holds, and time to work on alignment before you teach anyone else. If you are newer to yoga, this is where you build the base: breath, standing poses, and safe transitions. We add load gradually over the 23 days rather than jumping straight into advanced flows.
Ashtanga comes in as a set sequence linked to breath. It is more demanding, and that is intentional — you feel where your body is strong and where it still needs work. By the end of the month you can explain the difference between the two styles to a beginner class, not just perform them.
What a Training Day Looks Like
A typical day runs 6:30am to about 7:30pm. You start with pranayama and meditation, then a 90-minute morning asana block. Theory lands before lunch — anatomy, teaching method, or alignment labs. After a rest window in the heat of the afternoon, you are back on the mat for Vinyasa flow and an evening Yoga Nidra or sound session before dinner.
The rhythm is fixed on purpose. Students tell us the first four days are tiring; by week two the schedule feels normal. You are not left to self-study in a hotel — classes, meals, and the shala are on the same property in Satra, so you are never negotiating transport or distractions between sessions.
A Balanced Curriculum for Real-World Yoga Teachers
The 200-hour syllabus follows Yoga Alliance requirements — 200 contact hours across asana, anatomy, philosophy, teaching method, and practicum. At Klungkung we also weave in what is actually around you: Wayan’s philosophy sessions tied to temple visits, Saturday kirtan on campus, a farm trip, and the quiet village pace that lets you repeat a lesson until it lands.
- Posture practice and alignment: Hatha, Vinyasa, and introductory Ashtanga — from foundational poses through teaching cues and modifications for different bodies.
- Pranayama and meditation: Daily breathwork and seated practice, including techniques you can lead in a 20-minute class.
- Philosophy and ethics: Yoga Sutras, the eight limbs, and how to reference philosophy in class without sounding preachy.
- Teaching methodology and practicum: You teach your peers from week two onward. Faculty feedback is direct — what worked, what to change next time.
- Anatomy: Applied anatomy for common pose families and injury prevention, not textbook memorisation for its own sake.
- Lifestyle and nutrition: Vegetarian meals on campus, Ayurveda-informed talks, and how to talk to students about diet without giving medical advice.
Graduates leave with supervised teaching hours, a set of lesson plans that worked in front of real classmates, and enough repetitions that nerves drop before the certificate ceremony on the 23rd.

The Klungkung campus sits on Jalan Pura Dalem, Satra, Kec. Klungkung — a residential property in east Bali, a short walk from the village Pura Dalem temple. From the cottages and the open-air shala you look out over rice paddies and low village rooftops, not hotel strips or traffic noise.
Shared and private rooms are in simple Balinese-style cottages on the same grounds as the yoga hall, dining area, and pool. Rooms have ensuite bathrooms, fans or AC (depending on category), and desk space for journaling or coursework. You do not shuttle between a separate hotel and the shala — breakfast, practice, and evening meditation are all on one quiet property.
After afternoon sessions, students use the pool and covered lounge to rest before evening practice. Sunday excursions (temple visits, local markets) start from this address — about 90 minutes from Ngurah Rai Airport (DPS) with the one-way transfer included in your course fee.

Shared Accommodation
Meals & Vegetarian Food During Klungkung YTT
Meals are cooked on campus at our Klungkung property — not outsourced to a hotel kitchen. The dining area sits between the cottages and the shala, so you walk from morning practice straight to breakfast without leaving the grounds.
We serve three vegetarian meals daily during your 200 hour yoga teacher training in Bali: rice, dal, seasonal vegetables, fruit, and herbal teas suited to long practice days in the east-Bali heat. Tell the kitchen manager if you are fasting or need gluten-free options.
Food here is meant to support the schedule, not distract from it. Students eat together between sessions; most batches say the shared meals are where they actually get to know each other outside the shala.
Dietary options on the Klungkung campus: vegetarian (default), vegan, and gluten-free on request — tell us when you book if you have allergies or fasting days during the course.
