Quick Answer

This 10-day course is the first 100 hours of our 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in Ubud — not a separate short course. You learn Hatha, Vinyasa, and Ashtanga basics, plus anatomy, philosophy, and how to start teaching a class. No prior certificate is needed. Training is at our Jl. Bisma campus in central Ubud. Batches start on the 1st of each month. Fees are $1,099 (shared room) or $1,499 (private room), with a 25% deposit to book. When you finish, you get a certificate for this 100-hour block. Join the next 100-hour batch when you are ready to complete the full 200-hour course and apply for Yoga Alliance RYT-200.

Program Overview

Who This Is For

Complete beginners and early-stage practitioners who want to start teacher training without booking all 20 days at once. No prior teaching experience or certificate is required — most students arrive with a home practice, not a teaching résumé.

First 100 Hours of the 200-Hour Course

This 10-day batch is the opening half of our 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in Ubud — not a separate add-on course. You cover the first 100 hours of the same syllabus, teachers, and campus. When you finish, you receive a certificate for this block. To qualify for Yoga Alliance RYT-200, complete the second 100-hour block on the next monthly batch or when you are ready to return.

The Ubud Campus

Our Ubud campus is on Jl. Bisma, a short walk from central Ubud's rice fields, temples, and cafés. You train in a garden campus but can walk into town on rest afternoons. The same first-100-hour block runs at our Klungkung campus in east Bali at a lower price ($950 shared) if you prefer a quieter setting.

Why Ubud for Your First 100 Hours

  • Walkable location. The campus is a few minutes from Ubud market, rice fields, and cafés — handy on rest afternoons.
  • Beginner-friendly pace. No teaching experience is required. Classes start from the basics and build week by week.
  • Reviews you can read before booking. Three students have left reviews on this page. Our Klungkung 100-hour page does not have reviews yet.
  • A clear path to 200 hours. Finish this 10-day block first, then book the second 100-hour block to complete the full 200-hour certification.

Syllabus Modules

Nine modules across these 10 days — the first half of the 200-hour syllabus. The course ends with a short teaching practice in front of your batch.

Asana Foundations

Standing, seated, and floor postures explained step by step: where to place the feet and hands, common mistakes, and how to describe a pose in simple words before you demonstrate it.

Pranayama Basics

Ujjayi, Nadi Shodhana, and Kapalabhati taught slowly for beginners, with tips on common errors like forcing the breath or holding it too long.

Meditation Fundamentals

Short guided sits (10–15 minutes) using breath focus and body awareness. The aim is to sit comfortably and lead a short group sit, not to master one meditation style.

Mantra & Chanting Basics

Om chanting and a few traditional invocations with plain-English meanings so chanting is understood, not memorised by rote.

Applied Anatomy

Bones and main muscle groups as they relate to the poses from Module 1 — enough to explain why a cue matters in class.

Alignment & Hands-On Adjustment

Practice giving verbal cues and light hands-on adjustments with consent and clear communication before any touch.

Yoga Philosophy Primer

A short history of yoga and an introduction to the eight limbs (the philosophy called Ashtanga — not the asana style), kept practical for new teachers.

Shatkarma Introduction

A gentle introduction to Neti and related cleansing practices for your own practice at this stage, not for teaching others yet.

Teaching Methodology Basics

How to plan a 30–45 minute beginner class: order of poses, cueing, timing, and reading the room. Each student teaches one short segment before the course ends.

Hatha & Vinyasa/Ashtanga in Practice

Morning asana alternates between slower Hatha (time to learn alignment cues) and faster Vinyasa or Ashtanga-style flow (transition cueing and breath with movement). Both are taught at beginner pace.

Teacher Training Reviews

Nina Hoffmann Germany · 100hr graduate

100hr graduate

“I wasn't sure ten days was enough to learn anything real, but the way the syllabus was structured — anatomy right before we practiced adjustments, philosophy right before chanting — it built on itself. I left with a real foundation, not just a certificate.”

David Chen Singapore · 100hr graduate

100hr graduate

“Coming from a desk job with almost no yoga background, I expected to be the slow one in the room. The teachers paced everything for beginners specifically. Yogi Babloo's breathing sessions alone were worth the trip.”

Isabelle Roy Canada · 100hr graduate

100hr graduate

“Loved being able to walk into Ubud town on our half-day break. The teaching-practice module at the end was nerve-wracking but useful — I taught my first real class to friends a week after I got home.”

Campus Life

Life on Campus — Accommodation, Food & the Shala

Three Satvik vegetarian meals are served daily in the campus dining area. Wi-Fi is available in common areas; rooms are kept simple and clean so the emphasis stays on practice and study.
