At DivinePath Yoga School & Retreat, we collect the details we need to run your booking, and nothing more. This page explains what information we gather when you contact us or join a program, why we collect it, how we keep it safe, and the choices you have over your own data.
We have written this in plain English on purpose. If you have a question about your privacy that this page does not answer, email us at divinepathretreat@gmail.com and we will give you a straight answer.
This policy applies to our website, divinepathretreat.com, and to every enquiry, booking, and communication across our campuses in Goa, Rishikesh, and Bali.
We collect information in two ways: details you give us directly, and basic technical data your device shares when you visit our site.
We only ask for what a situation actually requires. When you make an enquiry, we need enough to reply and reserve a seat. When you book a course, we need a little more to plan your arrival.
Personal data you give us may include:
Technical data collected automatically may include your IP address, browser type, device, the pages you view, and how you arrived at our site. This helps us understand what is useful and keep the website working well.
Our website uses cookies, which are small files stored by your browser, to help the site function and to understand how visitors use it.
Some cookies are essential for the site to work. Others help us measure traffic and improve our pages. You can disable cookies through your browser settings at any time, though some features may not work as smoothly without them.
We use your information for clear, practical reasons:
We do not use your personal details for anything beyond the reason you shared them.
We only send marketing emails, such as newsletters or course offers, to people who have chosen to receive them.
Every marketing email includes an easy way to unsubscribe, and you can opt out at any time by clicking that link or emailing us. Opting out of marketing does not affect the booking and confirmation emails you need while you are enrolled with us.
We do not store your full card or banking details on our own servers.
Payments are handled by trusted third-party gateways and PayPal, which use industry-standard encryption to protect your information. When you pay, your sensitive financial details go directly to the secure payment provider, not to us.
To understand how people find and use our website, we use Google Analytics and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel.
These tools collect anonymized data about page visits, traffic sources, and general behavior on the site. We use this to see which pages are helpful and to reach people who may be interested in our courses. They do not tell us your name. You can limit this tracking through your browser settings, cookie controls, or the privacy tools offered by Google and Meta.
We work with a small number of trusted third-party services to run our school, including:
Each of these operates under its own privacy policy, which we recommend reading. We share only what each service needs to do its job, and we never sell your personal data.
Many of our international students prefer to reach us on WhatsApp, and we are glad to help that way.
If you message us on WhatsApp, we use your number and the conversation only to answer your questions and support your booking. WhatsApp messages are handled under WhatsApp's own privacy policy. We will not add you to any group or marketing list without your agreement.
We keep your personal information only as long as we need it.
Enquiry details are kept while we are in touch and for a reasonable period afterward in case you return. Booking and payment records are kept longer where accounting, tax, or legal rules require it. When information is no longer needed and we are not required to keep it, we remove it.
You have clear rights over the information we hold about you. You may:
To use any of these rights, email us at divinepathretreat@gmail.com. We will respond promptly.
Many of our students live in the European Union, the United Kingdom, and other regions with strong privacy laws. We respect those rights regardless of where you are.
If you are in the EU or UK, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) gives you the rights listed above, including access, correction, deletion, and the right to object to certain uses of your data. We process your information on lawful grounds, usually your consent or the need to fulfill your booking. If you ever feel your data has not been handled properly, you may contact your local data protection authority, though we hope you will reach out to us first so we can put things right.
We use secure servers and sensible safeguards to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.
Access to personal data is limited to the trusted staff who need it to do their work. We review our practices as our school grows, and we never sell or rent your data to anyone.
Our courses and retreats are intended for adults aged 18 and over, and our website is not directed at children.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a student under 18 wishes to join with parental consent, any data is handled with the guardian's involvement. If you believe a child has given us personal data without consent, contact us and we will remove it.
If you would like us to remove the personal information we hold about you, email us at divinepathretreat@gmail.com with your request.
We will remove what we can. Please note that we may still need to keep certain booking or payment records where accounting or legal rules require it, but we will delete anything we are free to remove.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as our school or the law changes.
When we make a meaningful change, we will update the date at the top of this page. We encourage you to check back occasionally so you always know how your information is handled.
For any privacy question, concern, or data request, reach out to us:

Privacy In Plain English
At Divinepath, we collect basic contact, enquiry, and booking information so we can reply, reserve seats, issue confirmations, and help with arrival planning.
We do not need more personal information than the situation requires. If you send health, travel, or identity details for a course, we use them only for the practical reason they were shared.
If you want a record corrected or removed where legally possible, contact us directly. We may still need to keep payment or booking records when accounting or legal rules require it.
