Terms & Conditions — DivinePath Yoga School & Retreat

Last updated: June 22, 2026

Thank you for choosing DivinePath Yoga School & Retreat. We are glad to be part of your yoga path, and we want your time with us to feel clear, fair, and well supported from the first email to your final day on the mat.

These Terms & Conditions explain what you can expect from us, and what we ask from you, when you book a Yoga Teacher Training course or a yoga retreat with us. Please read them before you confirm a booking. By paying a deposit or registering for any program, you agree to the terms set out here.

If anything is unclear, email us at divinepathretreat@gmail.com and we will explain it before you commit.

Introduction

This page forms the agreement between you (the student or guest) and DivinePath Yoga School & Retreat (referred to as "DivinePath," "we," "us," or "our"). It applies to our website, divinepathretreat.com, and to every course and retreat we run across our campuses in Goa, Rishikesh, and Bali.

These terms work alongside our Refund & Cancellation Policy and our Privacy Policy. Where a refund question arises, the Refund & Cancellation Policy is the governing document.

About DivinePath Yoga School & Retreat

DivinePath is a residential yoga school registered with Yoga Alliance. We have trained more than 400 graduates from over 45 countries across more than 10 years of teaching.

We run Yoga Teacher Training courses (100-hour, 200-hour, 300-hour, and 500-hour) and yoga retreats at three locations:

  • Goa — Arambol, North Goa, India
  • Rishikesh — Laxman Jhula, Uttarakhand, India
  • Bali — Ubud and Klungkung, Indonesia

Our founder and director is Amit Rana, and each campus is led by a senior resident teacher. Our students come mainly from the United States, the United Kingdom, Europe, Canada, and Australia, and our teaching is delivered in English.

Acceptance of Terms

When you pay a deposit, register online, or join one of our programs, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms & Conditions, along with our Refund & Cancellation Policy and Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not complete a booking. You are welcome to contact us with questions first.

Eligibility

To enroll in a Yoga Teacher Training course or retreat, you must be at least 18 years old. If you are under 18, you may only join with the written consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian, arranged with us in advance.

You do not need to be an advanced practitioner to join our 100-hour or 200-hour courses. A basic level of fitness and a sincere interest in learning are enough. Our 300-hour and 500-hour programs are designed for students who have already completed a recognized 200-hour training.

Course and Retreat Information

We publish details of each course and retreat — including dates, syllabus, daily schedule, and what is included — on our website and in our enquiry materials. We keep this information as accurate as we can.

From time to time we may need to adjust a teacher, a session, a schedule, or a venue. When this happens, we will tell you in advance wherever possible. The certification standard and the core curriculum hours always remain in line with Yoga Alliance requirements.

Registration Process

Booking with us is simple:

  1. Send an enquiry through our enquiry form or by email.
  2. We confirm availability for your chosen course, campus, and dates.
  3. You pay a deposit (usually 25% of the course fee) to secure your seat.
  4. We send you a written confirmation with arrival details and a pre-arrival guide.
  5. You pay the balance before or on arrival.

Your seat is only held once we receive your deposit.

Payments and Pricing

Course and retreat fees are quoted in US dollars and confirmed at the time of booking. The price we confirm in writing is the price you pay.

We accept several payment methods:

  • Bank transfer — our preferred method, and usually the lowest cost for you.
  • Cash on arrival — accepted for the balance.
  • Credit or debit card — accepted, though card payments made at the school carry extra transaction fees.
  • PayPal — accepted for deposits only. Full payment by PayPal is not available for our India-based bookings because of a 5% PayPal surcharge.

To keep your costs down, we recommend paying the balance in cash or by bank transfer when you arrive. Full payment terms are set out in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

Student Responsibilities

To keep our courses running smoothly and our community respectful, we ask every student to:

  • Attend all scheduled classes, lectures, and activities unless excused.
  • Arrive on time and complete the required course hours for certification.
  • Treat fellow students, teachers, staff, and the campus space with respect.
  • Keep a calm and considerate atmosphere, especially during early-morning and silent practice.
  • Tell us promptly about any issue affecting your stay or your study.

Certification depends on attendance, participation, and completing the course requirements.

Accommodation and Meals

Most of our courses are residential, with accommodation and sattvic (yogic vegetarian) meals included as stated in your booking. Room types vary by campus and may include shared, private, or cottage options.

Please respect quiet hours, keep shared spaces tidy, and let staff know early about any dietary need or allergy so the kitchen can prepare for you. Accommodation is provided for the course dates only; if you wish to arrive early or stay later, ask us in advance and we will check availability.

Arrival and Departure Policies

We will send your exact arrival date, check-in window, and directions in your confirmation email. Please plan your travel around these dates.

Arriving late or leaving early does not change the course fee, and missed days are not refundable, because the full program is reserved for you. If your travel may run tight, talk to us before booking so we can suggest a batch that fits your schedule.

Health Disclaimer

By enrolling, you confirm that you are physically and mentally fit to take part in yoga practice and the daily activities of the program.

You agree to tell us, in writing and in advance, about any medical condition, injury, pregnancy, allergy, or concern that may affect your participation. This helps our teachers keep you safe and adapt practices where needed. Sharing this information does not guarantee that every practice can be modified, but it allows us to support you as well as we can.

DivinePath does not provide medical advice. If you have a health condition, please consult your doctor before joining.

Yoga Practice and Physical Activities

Yoga, including asana, pranayama, and related practices, involves physical movement and carries a natural risk of strain or injury. You take part voluntarily and at your own risk.

Our teachers will guide you and offer modifications, but you are responsible for listening to your body, practicing within your limits, and stopping if something does not feel right. Please follow your teacher's guidance and never push into pain.

Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend that every student takes out comprehensive travel insurance before arriving.

Good travel insurance should cover trip cancellation, medical treatment, emergency evacuation, and loss of personal belongings. Insurance protects you in situations that fall outside our refund tiers, such as a last-minute illness or a flight disruption, so it is one of the best investments you can make for peace of mind.

Visa Responsibility

You are responsible for arranging the correct visa for your stay, whether that is in India or Indonesia, and for meeting all entry requirements for your destination.

Please apply for your visa early. We are happy to provide a booking confirmation or invitation letter if your application requires one — just ask. We cannot be held responsible for a visa delay or refusal, so book a fixed course date only once your travel feels secure. If a visa issue arises, contact us early and we will usually help you postpone rather than cancel.

Intellectual Property

All course materials, manuals, videos, recordings, presentations, and written content we provide are the property of DivinePath Yoga School & Retreat.

These materials are for your personal learning only. Please do not copy, reproduce, resell, publish, or share them without our written permission. The DivinePath name, logo, and brand are also our property and may not be used without consent.

Photography and Media Consent

We sometimes take photos and videos during courses and retreats for our website, social media, and promotional use.

If you would prefer not to appear in our photos or videos, simply let us know at any time, in person or by email, and we will respect your wishes. If you share your own photos or reviews with us, you give us permission to use them in our marketing unless you tell us otherwise.

Code of Conduct

Our campuses are shared spaces, often during intensive study and quiet practice. We ask everyone to behave with kindness, patience, and respect toward fellow students, teachers, staff, and the local community.

Please be mindful of noise, personal space, cultural customs, and the peaceful nature of a yoga environment. Harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior of any kind is not acceptable.

Alcohol, Drugs, and Misconduct

To protect the focus and safety of our courses, alcohol and recreational drugs are not permitted on our campuses.

Smoking is only allowed in designated outdoor areas where provided. Any student found using illegal substances, behaving in a way that endangers others, or seriously breaching this code of conduct may be asked to leave the program without a refund. We hope never to use this, and in our experience we rarely need to.

Limitation of Liability

DivinePath takes reasonable care to provide a safe and well-organized program. However, you take part in all activities at your own risk.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, DivinePath is not liable for any injury, illness, loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings that occurs during your stay or travel, except where caused by our proven negligence. This is one of the main reasons we recommend comprehensive travel insurance for every student.

Website Use

You may use our website, divinepathretreat.com, for personal, non-commercial purposes such as learning about our programs and making a booking.

Please do not attempt to disrupt the site, copy its content without permission, or use it for anything unlawful. The content on our website is provided for general information and may be updated at any time.

Third-Party Links

Our website and communications may include links to third-party services, such as payment gateways, map providers, or travel resources.

These services operate under their own terms and privacy policies, which we do not control. We share them only to help you, and we recommend reading their terms when you use them.

Force Majeure

Neither you nor DivinePath is responsible for failing to meet an obligation when it is caused by events beyond reasonable control. This includes natural disasters, extreme weather, pandemics, government orders, travel restrictions, strikes, or similar situations.

If such an event prevents a program from running, our Refund & Cancellation Policy explains your options, which include a full refund or rescheduling within 12 months.

Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute that cannot be resolved through friendly discussion will be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in India.

We always prefer to resolve concerns directly and fairly, so please contact us first if a problem arises.

Terms In Practice

The course works best when expectations are clear

At Divinepath, our terms are meant to protect the student, the school, and the group environment. Teacher training is residential and structured, so attendance, conduct, payment timing, and room rules cannot be treated casually.

Do not join a training if you want to skip large parts of the schedule or use the campus like a hotel. A retreat or independent stay will suit that style better.

If you are unsure about any rule, ask before booking. Clear questions at the start prevent tension later.
