Quick Answer

The 500 hour yoga teacher training in Ubud, Bali is Divinepath's complete RYT-500 pathway — a single 55-day residential program that combines the 200-hour foundation and 300-hour advanced training, so you graduate as a fully qualified master-level yoga teacher without enrolling in two separate courses. No prior certificate is required to start. You'll train at the Jl. Bisma campus in central Ubud, living on-site with Satvik meals, daily practice, anatomy, philosophy, and supervised teaching included. Shared cottage rooms start at $3,999 USD; private rooms are $4,999 USD. New batches begin on the 1st of every month.

Program Overview

What Is the 500 Hour Yoga Teacher Training in Ubud?

Most yoga schools sell the 500-hour as two separate bookings — a 200-hour foundation course now, a 300-hour advanced course later, often months or even a year apart, sometimes at two different schools with two different teaching styles to reconcile. Divinepath's Ubud program removes that gap. You arrive once, you commit to 55 days, and you leave with the full RYT-500 pathway completed in a single immersive stay at the Jl. Bisma campus.

The structure is deliberate, not just a longer version of the 200-hour course. The first stage builds your foundation: asana fundamentals, alignment, breath, and the teaching basics every certified instructor needs. A short integration period follows, where the pace eases and you absorb what you've learned before the intensity increases. The second stage is the advanced 300-hour layer — refined adjustments, therapeutic sequencing, deeper philosophy, mentorship, and real supervised teaching practice in front of your own cohort.

Who This Program Is For

This pathway is built for students who know they want to teach and would rather do it once, properly, than split the journey across two trips. You don't need a prior certificate — many students arrive having only practiced yoga casually at home or in a local studio. What you do need is the willingness to commit to 55 days of structured residential training: morning practice, theory blocks, teaching labs, and evening study, six days a week.

Yoga Alliance RYT-500 — One Stay, One Complete Pathway

Yoga Alliance certification for 500 hour yoga teacher training in Ubud, Bali

Why the Ubud 500-Hour Is Different

  • No prior certificate required. Unlike our Klungkung 500-hour (advanced-only, 51 days), Ubud takes you from foundation through advanced training in one 55-day residential program.
  • One teaching team, one cohort. You do not switch schools or faculty between the 200-hour and 300-hour stages — the same four Ubud teachers carry you through foundation, integration, and advanced blocks.
  • RYT-500 eligible on graduation. Divinepath is a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga School (RYS). Your certificate documents the full 500-hour pathway against the RYT-500 standard.

Graduates are qualified to teach general and advanced-level classes, lead therapeutic sequencing work, and register as RYT-500 with Yoga Alliance — the credential studios check when hiring experienced teachers.

500 Hours Yoga TTC

500 Hour YTT Ubud Curriculum — Week by Week

The 55 days move through three connected phases rather than one flat syllabus. Each phase has its own focus, but the teaching team carries the same cohort through all three, so nothing has to be re-explained or re-taught in a different style halfway through.

Phase 1

Foundation Phase — 200-Hour Block

The first stretch covers what every Yoga Alliance RYT-200 graduate needs: Hatha and Vinyasa asana fundamentals, alignment principles, beginner pranayama, an introduction to yoga philosophy and anatomy, and the basics of cueing a class. By the end of this block, you could sit a 200-hour certification exam on its own — it's the same foundation, just taught as the first third of a longer arc.

Phase 2

Integration Days

Between the foundation and the advanced block, the schedule deliberately slows. These days are for consolidating what you've practiced, resting your body, and meeting one-on-one with faculty about where you want to take the advanced phase — toward therapeutic work, toward Ashtanga depth, toward Yin, or toward teaching methodology and mentorship.

Phase 3

Advanced Phase — 300-Hour Block

The second half is where the "500-hour" name earns its weight. You move into advanced asana refinement, hands-on adjustment and therapeutic sequencing, deeper pranayama and meditation work, Sanskrit chanting and mantra, classical philosophy (Patanjali's Sutras, the Bhagavad Gita, the Eight Limbs), Shatkarma cleansing practices, and a full teaching methodology and mentorship module where you design and lead your own classes under faculty supervision.

Fees & Dates

500 Hour YTT Ubud — Fees, Dates & What's Included

Every batch runs 55 days starting on the 1st of the month, at the Jl. Bisma campus. A 25% deposit holds your seat; the balance is paid on arrival.

What's Included

Tuition for the full 55-day pathway, shared or private cottage accommodation, three daily Satvik meals, course manuals and materials, weekly cultural excursions, Yoga Alliance certification processing, and arrival support (visa invitation letter plus optional airport pickup from Ngurah Rai). International payments are accepted via bank transfer or Razorpay.

Pay in Installments — New Option for the 500-Hour Pathway

Because the 500-hour is the largest single commitment in our course lineup, we offer a two-installment plan: 25% to secure your seat, 50% due 30 days before your start date, and the final 25% on arrival. Ask admissions when you enquire if you'd prefer to spread payment differently.

Two Trips vs. One — The Cost & Time Case for the Full Pathway

If you booked the 200-hour and 300-hour as two separate Ubud courses, you'd pay for two arrivals, two sets of orientation days, and likely two visa runs if your stay between courses lapses. Combining them into one 55-day stay typically saves both the second arrival cost and 5–7 days of duplicate orientation and settling-in time — while keeping you with the same teaching team for the entire pathway instead of adapting to a new faculty style halfway through.

Who Teaches the 500 Hour YTT in Ubud

The Jl. Bisma campus runs on a four-person core teaching team. Because the program is 55 days, you'll work closely with all four rather than a single lead instructor.

Yogi Ankit — Lead Teacher at Divine Path Ubud 500-hour YTT

Yogi Ankit — Lead Teacher, Ashtanga & Hatha

Yogi Ankit leads the foundation-to-advanced asana progression and is the primary instructor for the Ashtanga and Hatha components of the syllabus. He oversees the teaching methodology module in the advanced block, working directly with students on cueing, sequencing, and classroom presence as they prepare to lead their own practice sessions.

Yogi Babloo Prasad teaching philosophy at Divine Path Ubud 500-hour YTT

Yogi Babloo Prasad — Philosophy & Pranayama

Yogi Babloo Prasad teaches the philosophy curriculum — Patanjali's Yoga Sutras, the Bhagavad Gita, and the Eight Limbs — alongside the pranayama modules across both the foundation and advanced blocks, with particular focus on breath safety and contraindications during the advanced retention work.

Hannah Ji teaching anatomy at Divine Path Ubud 500-hour YTT

Hannah Ji — Anatomy & Ayurveda

Hannah Ji teaches applied anatomy and physiology, including the injury-prevention and rehabilitation-aware sequencing covered in the advanced block, and introduces Ayurvedic principles as they relate to diet, lifestyle, and class planning.

Dominika Kerekesova Ji leading Yin yoga at Divine Path Ubud

Dominika Kerekesova Ji — Yin Yoga

Dominika Kerekesova Ji leads the Yin Yoga components woven through the 55-day schedule, balancing the more dynamic Hatha and Ashtanga work with slower, longer-held postures and their therapeutic applications.

Teacher Training Reviews

Sofia R. Portugal · 500hr graduate

500-hour graduate

“I'd never done a teacher training before this, and I was worried 55 days would be too much. It wasn't — the pace actually made sense once I was in it. By the advanced block I was leading short segments of class with real feedback, not just theory.”

Marcus T. Australia · 500hr graduate

500-hour graduate

“What I liked most was not having to restart with a new school for the advanced portion. Same teachers, same group, so the adjustments and philosophy work in the second half built directly on what we'd already practiced.”

Aiko N. Japan · 500hr graduate

500-hour graduate

“Hannah's anatomy sessions alone were worth the trip. I came in only knowing basic poses and left understanding why we cue the way we do, not just how.”

Daniel K. Germany · 500hr graduate

500-hour graduate

“Living on Jl. Bisma meant I could walk to the rice terraces on a rest afternoon and still be back for evening practice. It didn't feel isolated the way some retreat-style courses do.”

Priyanka S. Singapore · 500hr graduate

500-hour graduate

“Dominika's Yin classes were the reset I needed after a full day of Ashtanga and teaching labs. The whole program felt designed, not just long.”

FAQ's

Frequently Asked Questions — 500 Hour YTT Ubud

No. This program is built to take you from no prior certificate through the complete 200-hour foundation and into the 300-hour advanced training in one 55-day stay. If you already hold a 200-hour certificate and want only the advanced layer, our Klungkung campus runs a 51-day advanced-only 500-hour intensive instead.

Ubud is the full pathway — 55 days, no prerequisite, foundation plus advanced combined. Klungkung is an advanced-only intensive — 51 days, open only to students who've already completed a 200-hour certification or have equivalent experience. Choose Ubud if this is your first teacher training; choose Klungkung if you're already certified and want to go deeper.

Shared cottage accommodation is $3,999 USD; private cottage is $4,999 USD, both for the full 55-day program. A 25% deposit secures your seat, with installment options available — see the pricing section above for the full breakdown.

You'll graduate eligible for Yoga Alliance RYT-500 registration, which is the highest standard teaching credential Yoga Alliance offers below 500+ continuing education hours. It qualifies you to teach all levels and styles covered in the curriculum, including therapeutic and advanced sequencing work that a 200-hour-only certificate doesn't cover.

It's a common worry, and most students tell us the structure — six teaching days with built-in integration time between the foundation and advanced blocks — makes it feel more manageable than a shorter, more compressed course. You're not studying at full intensity for all 55 days; the schedule is paced specifically to avoid burnout.

Tuition for both the foundation and advanced blocks, shared or private cottage accommodation, three daily Satvik meals, course manuals, weekly excursions, and Yoga Alliance certification processing. Visa invitation letters and optional airport pickup are included for international students.

The campus is on Jl. Bisma in central Ubud, Gianyar, Bali — walking distance to rice terraces, temples, cafés, and Ubud's main cultural district, rather than in an isolated retreat compound.

Yes. Because the program starts from the 200-hour foundation, the early weeks are built for students who are new to structured practice. The advanced block assumes you've completed the foundation phase with this cohort, not that you arrived already advanced.

Cancel 30 days or more before your start date for a 100% refund of all fees paid. Cancellations less than 30 days before the start date are not refundable. You may move once to a later batch free of charge up to 7 days before your start date with a genuine reason. Full terms are listed in our refund policy.

Divinepath is a Yoga Alliance-registered school, and the 500-hour pathway is structured against the RYT-500 standard specifically — not a generic "advanced" label. Graduates receive certification documentation that names the RYT-500 standard directly, which is what studios and certifying bodies check for when you apply to teach.
