Quick Answer: The best yoga teacher training school in Goa depends on three things: Yoga Alliance registration, batch size, and whether what is in the price is clearly stated before you book. At DivinePath, we run Yoga Alliance registered 200H, 300H, and 500H programs from our cottage-style property in Arambol, North Goa — 10 minutes' walk from Arambol Beach — with a swimming pool, private garden, and in-house restaurant on the property. 200H pricing starts at $500 without accommodation, or $699 for a dorm room.
Every batch is capped at 10 students. We have graduated 400+ students from 45+ countries. Most competitor schools in Goa charge €1,500–€1,900 (approximately $1,640–$2,080) for the same qualification.
What's in This Guide
Before you read the rest of this, I want to be upfront. I run DivinePath. I have a clear reason to recommend us. But I also speak with students every week who made the wrong choice — paid a deposit to a school they found on Instagram, arrived in Goa, and found 40 people in a room with a part-time teacher.
So the only way this comparison is useful to you is if I tell you the truth about everyone, including us.
Here is what actually matters:
Every price in this comparison was taken directly from each school's official website in May 2026. Schools that charge in Euros are shown in both EUR and approximate USD at current rates (€1 ≈ $1.09). I have linked to each source so you can verify yourself.
This is our school. I am stating that clearly upfront.
DivinePath runs 100H, 200H, 300H, and 500H Yoga Alliance registered programs from our cottage-style property in Arambol, North Goa. The 200H is 21 days. The 300H is 25 days. The 500H covers both tracks over 28 days.
The property. We operate from a cottage-style retreat property within a 10-minute walk of Arambol Beach. It is not a hotel or a concrete yoga centre. The property has a swimming pool, a private garden, and an in-house restaurant where all three of your daily meals are prepared and served. During 21 days of intensive training — six hours per day — where you recover matters. Students at DivinePath come back from morning practice to a garden setting, have pool access between afternoon sessions, and eat together at our restaurant each evening.
Amit Rana chose Arambol specifically for this. Enough distance from the main tourist strip to concentrate. Enough natural beauty to make the training worth the journey.
What the price includes. Every 200H option includes daily training, three daily meals at our on-property restaurant, course materials, and Yoga Alliance registration support. Dorm, shared cottage, and private cottage options also include accommodation, pool access, and garden access. No hidden fees. The Yoga Alliance registration fee — approximately $115 USD — is paid directly to Yoga Alliance after graduation. That is not our charge.
Batch size. Every batch is capped at 10 students. Hard limit. If a batch is full, we waitlist you — we do not quietly add an 11th person.
Who teaches. Yogi Saransh Ji leads our Goa campus. E-RYT 500. Five years of ashram training before joining DivinePath. He lives on the property year-round — not a visiting teacher who arrives for a batch and leaves.
Curriculum. At DivinePath we teach a multi-style program covering Hatha, Vinyasa, Ashtanga, and Yin yoga. You leave the 200H able to teach all four styles, which gives you significantly more versatility in the teaching market than a single-style certification.
| Option | Price | What Is Included |
|---|---|---|
| Without accommodation | $500 | Daily training + 3 daily meals at on-property restaurant |
| Dorm room | $699 | Training + 3 meals + dorm stay + pool + garden |
| Shared cottage | $899 | Training + 3 meals + shared cottage + pool + garden |
| Private cottage | $1,250 | Training + 3 meals + private cottage + pool + garden |
| 300H (from) | $1,299 | 25-day program, all meals, accommodation included |
| 500H (from) | $1,899 | 28-day program, all meals, accommodation included |
Who should NOT choose DivinePath. If you want a large ashram experience with 30+ students, we are wrong for you. If you want an intensive Mysore-style Ashtanga-only program, we teach Ashtanga as part of a multi-style curriculum. If your maximum budget is under $500 and cannot stretch, be honest with yourself about the trade-off.

Sampoorna has been operating in Agonda since 2009 and is one of the more established schools in Goa. They are Yoga Alliance registered (RYS 200, RYS 300, RYS 500, and YACEP) and their curriculum is strong — particularly their Ashtanga Vinyasa program.
The school is directly on Agonda Beach — less than 100 metres from the waterline, which is a genuine physical advantage. They have a swimming pool and gym on the property, and their food reputation is good.
| Package | Price (EUR) | Approx. USD | What Is Included |
|---|---|---|---|
| Package 1 (shared, limited) | €1,500 | ~$1,640 | Training + accommodation + meals |
| Package 2 (shared non-AC) | €1,650 | ~$1,800 | Training + accommodation + meals |
| Package 2 (with AC) | €1,900 | ~$2,080 | Training + accommodation + meals |
| Package 3 (course only) | €1,200 | ~$1,310 | Course only — no accommodation |
Early bird discount: €100 if booked 60 days in advance. A €400 non-refundable deposit confirms your place.
To be honest with you: Sampoorna is more expensive than DivinePath — their shared residential 200H starts at approximately $1,640 compared to our $699 dorm room or $899 shared cottage. What you are paying for is a beachfront location (Agonda), a larger established school, and a strong Ashtanga Vinyasa lineage.
The caveat: Agonda is 3.5 hours from Goa International Airport (GOX). Factor that into your travel cost and arrival logistics.
Best for: Students who specifically want an Ashtanga Vinyasa curriculum, prefer South Goa's quieter environment, and have the budget for a premium school.
Yoga Alliance registered: Yes — RYS 200, 300, 500, YACEP.
Himalaya Yoga Valley has been operating since 2002 and is one of the most established schools in the Goa market. Founded by Yogacharya Lalit Kumar, who began studying at traditional Indian Gurukulams at age 7 and has taught more than 2,000 yoga teachers. Their Goa centre is in Mandrem — different from Arambol, slightly more inland.
The school has strong multi-style credentials and Ayurveda integration. Their faculty depth is genuine. The on-site accommodation is villa-style with four bedrooms per villa, en-suite bathrooms, and a common lounge area.
| Option | Price (EUR) | Approx. USD | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Non-AC shared | ~€1,500 | ~$1,640 | Training + accommodation + meals |
| AC shared | ~€1,700 | ~$1,860 | Training + accommodation + meals |
| AC single | ~€1,900 | ~$2,080 | Training + accommodation + meals |
Note: Himalaya Yoga Valley's Goa program runs 28 days — longer than most schools. The additional week is built into the curriculum, not padding.
Important: Lalit divides his time between Goa and Ireland. Confirm which sessions he personally leads versus the resident teaching staff before booking.
Best for: Students who want a deeply experienced, internationally credentialed school with multi-style curriculum and strong alumni networks. Price range is significantly higher than DivinePath.
Yoga Alliance registered: Yes — RYS 200, 300.
Shree Hari is one of the more established Arambol schools and offers 200H and 300H Yoga Alliance registered programs. Their curriculum leans toward Sivananda and traditional Hatha.
Pricing sits at approximately $650–$850 all-in for the 200H, which puts them at the lower end of the market alongside DivinePath. Their campus is in Arambol, near the beach.
Where Shree Hari differs from DivinePath: batch sizes run larger — typically 18–22 students per batch based on testimonials — and the property setup is more basic. No pool, no in-house restaurant. The trade-off is a slightly lower price at the shared room level.
Best for: Students who want a traditional Sivananda-Hatha curriculum in Arambol at a competitive price and are comfortable with a larger batch.
Note: When we enquired as a prospective student, response time was 4 days.
Yoga Magic is primarily an eco-resort that runs yoga programs including TTC courses. The setting is distinctive — circular eco-huts on a large property in quieter Mandrem.
Their TTC pricing sits at $1,400–$1,800 for a 200H program. What you are paying for is the environment. The trade-off is frequency — they do not run monthly batches. Programs are seasonal and sell out months in advance.
Best for: Students who can plan 6+ months ahead and for whom the physical environment and eco-setting is the primary draw.
Yoga Alliance status: Verify directly before booking — check their current RYS status at app.yogaalliance.org.
Swan Yoga is a boutique school in Assagao, inland North Goa. They run small batches — 8–12 students — which is a genuine differentiator, and their setting is a renovated Portuguese villa.
Pricing runs $1,600–$2,000 all-in for a private room. Their program has a lifestyle-oriented feel, blending yoga with Ayurveda and local food culture. For students who want the smallest possible batch in a beautiful property and have the budget, Swan is worth serious consideration.
Best for: Students for whom intimacy and setting are the primary criteria, with budget for $1,600+.
Mahi Yoga offers one of the most accessible entry prices in Goa — approximately $550–$750 for a 200H including accommodation, and they are Yoga Alliance registered.
At this price point, facilities are basic and batch sizes tend to be larger. The faculty information on their website is limited, which makes independent credential verification harder. Ask directly for lead teacher credentials and hard batch cap before committing any deposit.
Best for: Students for whom price is the primary constraint and a basic, no-frills qualification is the goal.

I want to address something directly. DivinePath charges $699 for a dorm room 200H and $899 for a shared cottage 200H. Most schools in Goa charge €1,500–€1,900 (approximately $1,640–$2,080) for the same qualification. That is a gap of roughly $700–$1,400 for what is nominally the same certificate.
Here is what actually drives the difference:
What you get at DivinePath that you do not get at higher-priced schools: A 10-student cap, a lead teacher living on-property year-round, and a cottage property with pool, garden, and restaurant — with residential pricing from $699 dorm or $899 shared cottage. The value equation is real, not manufactured.
October through March is the optimal window. Dry weather, warm days, cool evenings. Almost every school runs their main batch schedule through this period.
April and May are transition months — warm and humid. Some schools pause, some continue. At DivinePath, our pricing does not change seasonally. An April batch costs the same as a November batch.
June through September is monsoon. Most North Goa schools close or run reduced programs. Sampoorna in South Goa and some Agonda schools continue through part of the monsoon with slightly less rain than the north.
At DivinePath, we run batches every month except June and July. Our November through February batches fill first — apply at least three months ahead for those dates. You can also read our best time for yoga teacher training in Goa guide.
Rishikesh has deeper lineage history, particularly for traditional Hatha and Ashtanga. The environment is more ascetic. Competition between schools is intense, which has both lowered prices and, in many cases, lowered quality.
Goa has better international access (direct flights from Europe and South-East Asia into GOX), more pleasant weather from October to March, and the best schools here — including DivinePath — provide a quality of physical environment that most Rishikesh programs at the same price point cannot match.
At DivinePath, we run programs in both locations. Our honest take: if your priority is strict traditional lineage depth, Rishikesh has an edge. If you want a rigorous multi-style program in a beautiful residential setting, Goa is the stronger choice.

Yes — and the majority of DivinePath students are beginners.
The 200H program is specifically designed as a starting point. You do not need prior teaching experience. You do not need to do a handstand. What you need is genuine commitment to six days per week of intensive learning for 21 days.
Over 60% of the 400+ graduates who have completed training at DivinePath came in with no formal yoga background. The students who struggle are not the ones with less experience — they are the ones who expected a yoga holiday rather than genuine training.
Our complete guide for beginners joining yoga teacher training in Goa covers how to prepare and what each week involves.
Completing a 200H at a Yoga Alliance registered school does not automatically make you RYT 200. Registration is a separate step you complete after graduating.
The RYT 200 credential does not expire. Annual Yoga Alliance membership renewal is approximately $65/year and is optional after the first year. The credential itself is permanent.
At DivinePath, we prepare all documentation needed for your Yoga Alliance application as part of the program. No extra charge for this.
Choose DivinePath if you want a Yoga Alliance registered program with a 10-student cap, a lead teacher who lives on the property year-round, and a cottage retreat setting with a pool, garden, and in-house restaurant within a 10-minute walk of Arambol Beach — at the most transparent pricing in this market. Our 200H starts from $500 without accommodation, $699 for a dorm room, or $899 for a shared cottage. See our full Goa programs and upcoming batch dates.
Choose Sampoorna Yoga if you specifically want an Ashtanga Vinyasa or Hatha lineage program on a beachfront property in South Goa, and your budget extends to €1,500–€1,900. Their school has been operating since 2009 and has strong credentials. Travel note: Agonda is 3.5 hours from GOX airport.
Choose Himalaya Yoga Valley if you want a 20+ year established international brand, the strongest alumni network in Goa, and are willing to pay €1,500–€1,900 for a 28-day program in Mandrem, North Goa.
Choose Swan Yoga Retreat if the boutique Portuguese villa setting and very small batch (8–12 students) matter as much as the training, and your budget extends to $1,600–$2,000.
Choose Shree Hari Yoga if you want a traditional Sivananda-Hatha curriculum in Arambol at a competitive price and are comfortable in a larger 18–22 student batch.
Do not book any school that cannot tell you the batch size, show you the lead teacher's Yoga Alliance credentials, or clearly state what is in the price before you pay a deposit.
If you want to speak with someone at DivinePath before deciding, send a WhatsApp message to our Goa team. We respond same day, seven days a week.
Any Yoga Alliance registered 200H program is suitable for beginners. At DivinePath, over 60% of our 400+ graduates started with no formal yoga background. The key differentiator for beginners is batch size — with 10 students per batch, every student gets individual attention during teaching practice. Our Goa 200H starts from $500 without accommodation, $699 for a dorm room, and $899 for a shared cottage, including three daily meals at our on-property restaurant and access to our swimming pool and garden.
Prices vary significantly. Most established schools charge €1,500–€1,900 (~$1,640–$2,080) all-in for a 200H. DivinePath charges $500 without accommodation, $699 for a dorm room, $899 for a shared cottage, and $1,250 for a private cottage. Every option includes training and three daily meals; residential options also include pool and garden access. Courses charging under $700 with accommodation should be checked carefully for batch size and teacher credentials.
The training at a Registered Yoga School (RYS) is included in your course fee. The Yoga Alliance registration itself — which makes you RYT 200 — is a separate step you complete directly with Yoga Alliance after graduation. The current fee is approximately $115 USD paid directly to Yoga Alliance. DivinePath prepares all documentation needed for this process as part of the program at no extra charge.
October through March is the best window — dry weather and the main season for most schools. At DivinePath, we run monthly batches year-round except June and July. Our pricing does not change by season. November through February batches book first — apply 3+ months ahead for those dates.
Go to app.yogaalliance.org, click "Find a School," and search by school name. If they have an active RYS status, they are legitimately registered. DivinePath's RYS profile is publicly searchable and we include the direct verification link on every page of our website. Do not accept screenshots or certificates as proof — only the live Yoga Alliance directory entry counts.
Yes, significantly. Most established Yoga Alliance registered schools in Goa charge €1,500–€1,900 (approximately $1,640–$2,080) for a 200H residential program. DivinePath charges $699 for a dorm room or $899 for a shared cottage — including accommodation, three daily restaurant meals, pool and garden access, and Yoga Alliance registration support. The difference reflects our location (10 minutes from Arambol Beach vs beachfront), our efficient operation over 10+ years, and our decision to keep batch sizes at 10 students rather than filling larger batches to cross-subsidise lower pricing.
Amit Rana is the founder of DivinePath Yoga School, a Yoga Alliance registered school with campuses in Arambol Goa, Rishikesh, and Ubud Bali. He has run teacher training programs for over a decade and personally reviewed all pricing in this post for accuracy as of May 2026. DivinePath has graduated 400+ students from 45+ countries.
