100 Hour Yoga Teacher Training in Goa – 11 Days Beginner Course

If you have been thinking about yoga teacher training but are not ready to commit to a full 200-hour program, the 100-hour course is a sensible place to start. Over 11 days, you live and train at our campus near Arambol Beach in North Goa — practising Hatha, Vinyasa, and Ashtanga Yoga alongside classes in philosophy, anatomy, breathing techniques, meditation, and mantra chanting.

The structure is simple. You join the first half of our 200 Hour YTT course in Goa, training alongside students completing the full certification. Same teachers, same shala, same daily schedule. The only difference is your departure date. Your stay includes clean accommodation and freshly prepared sattvik meals (pure vegetarian food that supports practice and rest).

With monthly start dates (5th of each month) and fees starting from USD 450, this is a flexible way to begin. If you enjoy it — and most students do — you can return at any time to complete the second 100 hours and earn the full 200 Hour Yoga Alliance certification. (Note: the 100 Hour YTT itself is not Yoga Alliance certified; the full 200 Hour program is.)

Why Students Choose the 100 Hour YTT

What Happens After 100 Hours?

If you enjoy the experience, you can return later for the second 100 hours. Once you complete both parts, you receive the 200 Hour Yoga Alliance Certificate, which allows you to teach yoga anywhere in the world. There is no time limit on your credit — come back whenever you are ready.

Some students who fall in love with the training choose to go even further — continuing with the 300 Hour Advanced YTT or the 500 Hour Complete Mastery programme.

Is This Right For You?

Who Is the 100 Hour Yoga Course in Goa For?

This course is not for everyone — and that is a good thing. It is designed for a specific kind of student. If any of the following sounds like you, you are in the right place:

✅ Curious Beginners

You practise yoga at home or in a studio but want to understand it properly — the philosophy, the anatomy, the teaching. You are not sure if you want to teach yet, but you want to learn what yoga really is beyond the postures.

✅ Short on Time

You cannot take a full month off work or travel. Eleven days fits into a two-week holiday. You want real training, not a retreat — but within a schedule that works for your life.

✅ Testing Before Committing

You are interested in the full 200-hour certification but want to try the experience first. The 100-hour lets you test the school, the teachers, the schedule, and the lifestyle — and your 11 days count toward the full programme if you continue.

✅ Budget-Conscious Learners

Starting from USD 450 with accommodation and meals included, this is one of the most affordable yoga teacher training courses in Goa. You get the same campus, same teachers, and same food as the 200-hour students — at a lower entry point.

If none of the above fits — if you already have some experience and know you want to teach — consider going straight to the 200 Hour YTT in Goa. It is the course that gives you the full Yoga Alliance certification.

Why Choose Goa?

Why Choose Goa for Your 100 Hour YTT

Goa is not just a holiday destination — it is one of the best places in India for a beginner to experience yoga training. With its calm beaches, warm tropical weather, and relaxed international community, Goa offers the right balance of nature, focus, and comfort for a first training experience.

  • Beachside Campus: Practice yoga a short walk from Arambol Beach, surrounded by palm trees and the sound of waves.
  • Warm Climate: Sunshine most of the year (25–35°C), making outdoor yoga comfortable and refreshing.
  • International Community: Train alongside students from 30+ countries. The multicultural atmosphere enriches every philosophy discussion.
  • Easy to Reach: Manohar International Airport (GOX) is just 40 minutes away with regular domestic and international flights.
  • Affordable: Compared to similar programs in Bali, Thailand, or Costa Rica, Goa delivers better value at a lower price.

Choosing Goa for your 100 Hour Yoga Teacher Training means learning in a setting where the surroundings genuinely support the practice. It is structured enough to keep you focused, relaxed enough that you do not burn out.

"Great value. The teachers gave us the same attention as the 200-hour students. I learned more about anatomy and alignment in 11 days than in years of studio classes. The food and accommodation were better than expected."

Syllabus

Learn how to sequence and theme a yoga class so sessions flow seamlessly. You will also learn how to give safe physical and verbal adjustments, helping students tune into correct alignment.

Covers: constructing, sequencing, and theming a class; building postural arcs; providing safe adjustments and modifications.

Explore breathing techniques beyond basic diaphragmatic breathing — Ujjayi, Nadi Shodhana, Kapalabhati — and meditation practices for mental clarity and calm. You will learn how to practise and teach these in a class setting.

Practice teaching real classes to your peers, receive feedback from instructors, and build confidence in your teaching voice. Includes class observations and guided practice opportunities.

Karma Yoga is the path of selfless action and service. Learn how performing duties without attachment to results promotes personal growth and inner peace — a practical framework for both teaching and daily life.

Study the Yoga Sutras, the eight limbs, yamas and niyamas, and the ethical foundations of yoga. Explore lineages including Hatha, Ashtanga, Vinyasa, and Iyengar, with a focus on the movement-based styles you will practice daily.

Understand the skeletal, muscular, and joint systems relevant to yoga. Learn which muscles engage in each posture, how to identify weak or tight areas, and how to teach safely for different body types.

This schedule is designed for beginners. Not ready for 200 hours? Start here and upgrade to 200hr when you are ready.

What's Included?

What's Included in the 100 Hour Yoga Teacher Training in Goa

The 100 hour curriculum covers all the fundamentals of yoga — from philosophy to practical asanas, pranayama to meditation. You study Hatha Yoga and Ashtanga Vinyasa basics, learn safe alignment, and practise teaching real classes to your peers. The programme is designed so that every session builds on the last, giving you a structured foundation to carry forward.

Beyond the classroom, your fee includes clean accommodation (cottages, AC rooms, or dorm), three sattvik meals a day, course materials, and a certificate of completion. The campus is green, quiet, and just a short walk from Arambol Beach — everything you need to focus on your practice without distractions.

100 Hours Yoga TTC

Hatha Yoga in the Teacher Training Course (Goa)

Hatha Yoga forms the foundation of every programme we teach. It is the gentlest starting point — you hold each posture long enough to understand how the weight distributes, where the muscles engage, and where the breath should go. Through sun salutations, standing poses, seated forward bends, backbends, and inversions, you build the basics that every other style depends on.

The sun salutation sequence in Hatha yoga teacher training helps students channel energy and improve mental clarity. This accessible style allows beginners to build a strong foundation and develop flexibility gradually.

100 Hours Yoga TTC

Ashtanga Vinyasa in the 100 Hour Teacher Training (Goa)

Once you have established the Hatha foundation, the course moves into Ashtanga Yoga — a dynamic, breath-linked style that builds real strength and cardiovascular endurance. You learn the Primary Series step by step, focusing on correct breathing (Ujjayi), gaze placement (drishti), and the energy locks (bandhas) that keep the practice safe and controlled.

Practising Ashtanga in Goa adds something a city studio cannot replicate — open-air shala, natural light, and the ocean in the background. Students often describe this as the part of the training that challenged them most and changed them most.
