Prices start from USD 500 (course + meals without accommodation) to USD 1,250 (private luxury cottage).

Goa has become one of the most popular destinations for yoga training in Goa among international students. Compared to Western countries where a 200 hour yoga teacher training can cost $3,000–$5,000, a 200 hour yoga teacher training Goa programme at DivinePath delivers the same Yoga Alliance accreditation at a fraction of the cost, with beachside living and warm weather year-round. Our campus in Arambol, North Goa sits ten minutes from the beach — a setting that naturally supports the focus that deep yoga training in Goa requires.

With small groups of 10–15 students, our teachers know your name, your goals, and your limitations from day one. This is why many graduates call us the best yoga teacher training in Goa India. Whether you are looking for a 200 hour yoga TTC in Goa to launch a teaching career or to transform your personal practice, this programme gives you everything you need. Not ready for 200 hours? You will learn how to use and deliver various breathing techniques and the basic concepts of meditation and stillness. Dhyana (meditation) is something that yogis have practised for thousands of years, so we’ll explore meditation techniques and how they can be used to train attention and awareness and help both you and your students achieve a mentally clear, emotionally calm and stable state.

We’ll also explore breathing techniques outside the diaphragmatic and Ujjayi breaths often used during yoga practice. You’ll learn to incorporate these into your teaching and daily life.

You’ll learn about: The how-to’s and benefits of meditation The different styles of meditation and how to practice and teach them How to practice and teach pranayama and the various breathing techniques The uses of breathing techniques and their benefits The importance of pranayama and meditation to yoga practice and daily life

Hatha Yoga is the base of all yoga styles. It is slow, steady, and gives you time to really feel each pose. In this part of the training, you will practise the main yoga postures, learn how to sit, stand, and move safely, and use your breath to stay calm and focused. You’ll learn:

  • How to do the basic yoga poses with safe alignment
  • How to use your breath to relax and stay steady

  • How to use props or small changes to fit every body type

faq_bar_line

Ashtanga Vinyasa is a strong and active style of yoga. You move from one pose to the next in a set order, almost like a dance with your breath. This helps build strength, energy, and focus. You will learn the basics of the Primary Series, which is the first part of Ashtanga practice. You’ll learn:

  • Step-by-step practice of the Primary Series
  • How to flow safely from one pose to the next
  • How to use your breath and gaze to stay focused
  • Ways to make Ashtanga easier for beginners or more challenging for advanced students

As a yoga teacher, knowing about anatomy is essential to leading a healthy practice better and helping students understand what’s going on in the body. Studying anatomy will allow you to lead classes with more explicit instruction, tell your students which body parts should be contracting and relaxing in various poses, and better understand weak, tight, and injured areas. You’ll leave with a greater understanding of the different systems of the body and how yoga can impact these various areas. This understanding will inform your teaching and allow you to lead with greater understanding and compassion.

Practicum includes having a personal practice while enrolled in 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training in Goa, completing class observations, teaching back to the class and receiving feedback from peers and instructors. Karma Yoga means selfless action — doing something good without expecting anything back. It is the yoga of altruism, where you serve others with kindness and care. In daily life at the school, this might be as simple as helping a classmate, keeping the space clean, or offering support to someone who needs it. By giving from the heart, you learn humility, compassion, and the joy of serving. You’ll practise:

  • Helping others with small, everyday tasks
  • Working with care and attention, without looking for reward
  • Serving the community with kindness and respect
  • Finding inner peace and purpose through selfless giving

faq_bar_line

You’ll learn the foundational principles of yoga as a lifestyle and practice. The ethics portion includes teacher-student relationships, community, and service. You’ll learn about the many lineages and styles of yoga, including Hatha Yoga, Ashtanga, Vinyasa Yoga, and others. The focus will be on the movement styles of practice, including Vinyasa Yoga, which was born from the Ashtanga lineage.

faq_bar_line

Moving from one yoga posture to the next in a flow-style practice should have the same fluidity and seamless transition often observed in dance. This transition is also essential to practices incorporating slower movement and longer-held postures.

In this module, you will learn how to sequence and theme a class so that your classes move seamlessly, your students can connect with themselves, and they can experience all of the intended benefits of their practice. You will also learn how physical and verbal cues and adjustments can help your students tune into their bodies and achieve a safe and intelligent mind-body connection.

You’ll learn about: Constructing, sequencing, and theming a class How to structure a yoga class by building postural arcs and valleys How to safely provide physical and verbal adjustments and modifications

Immersing oneself in all teachings helps bring the best out of such teachings and into their life.

The tropical climate and the inborn beauty of the land completely add to the delight. Practising yoga in wild surroundings stimulates the bond with nature and self. That is the course-harmonious atmosphere of mind and peace, both vital elements for yoga practice.

200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Goa is not just a program to become a yoga teacher; it's a good transformation and self-discovery journey. The intensive training challenges the participant physically, mentally, and emotionally, pushing them to the limits of their comfort zone; during this time, people tend to become more resilient, more confident, and better acquainted with themselves.

Mindfulness, meditation, and self-awareness are fostered during training, which brings transformation at a very personal level. By the time they exit the program, many have found themselves more centred and balanced, aligned with their inner purpose. Such transformation was reflected not only in their teaching but indeed in every aspect of their lives.

The cultural and spiritual heritage of Goa renders training into a whole new dimension by adding layers. The marriage of Indian and Portuguese influences gives Goa such vibrancy and warmth. All of this also adds a more extensive dimension to the trip by going deeper into the local culture, traditions, food, and festivities.

On the other hand, Goa's spiritual character is defined through several temples, churches, and wellness retreats; it indeed fits well with yoga. This is one more enriching feature that will make an educational experience memorable and fulfilling.
