  • Step-by-step practice of the Primary Series
  • How to flow safely from one pose to the next

  • Ways to make Ashtanga easier for beginners or more challenging for advanced students

As a yoga teacher, knowing about anatomy is essential to leading a healthy practice better and helping students understand what’s going on in the body. Studying anatomy will allow you to lead classes with more explicit instruction, tell your students which body parts should be contracting and relaxing in various poses, and better understand weak, tight, and injured areas. You’ll leave with a greater understanding of the different systems of the body and how yoga can impact these various areas. This understanding will inform your teaching and allow you to lead with greater understanding and compassion.

Practicum includes having a personal practice while enrolled in 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training in Goa, completing class observations, teaching back to the class and receiving feedback from peers and instructors. It is required that students enrolled in the YTT program observe six classes while enrolled in training. Each student will be required to lead 1-hour long class at the studio to complete YTT, with additional practice opportunities during class and in group work. There will be an option for additional feedback if requested.

Karma Yoga means selfless action — doing something good without expecting anything back. It is the yoga of altruism, where you serve others with kindness and care. In daily life at the school, this might be as simple as helping a classmate, keeping the space clean, or offering support to someone who needs it. By giving from the heart, you learn humility, compassion, and the joy of serving. You’ll practise:

  • Helping others with small, everyday tasks
  • Working with care and attention, without looking for reward
  • Serving the community with kindness and respect

You will also learn how physical and verbal cues and adjustments can help your students tune into their bodies and achieve a safe and intelligent mind-body connection.

200 Hour Yoga TTC

In-Depth Curriculum of 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training in Goa

This four-week curriculum combines traditional yoga study with practical teaching tools. During the course, you will learn:

  • Hatha and Vinyasa Yoga Practice: Daily asana practices will develop strength, flexibility, and awareness. Ashtanga in the mornings will aid alignment and control; the evenings will allow you to release energy in Vinyasa flow.
  • Ashtanga Yoga: Learn the Primary Series of Ashtanga Yoga in all its aspects, including proper breathing, drishti (gaze), and bandhas (energy locks). You lay down the teacher's pathway by ways of safely modifying and practicing the pure form.
  • Teaching Methodology: Step into the role of a confident instructor. Learn structuring a class, voice projection, adjusting students safely, and creating inspiring sequences.
  • Yoga Anatomy & Physiology: Understand the body from yogic and scientific perspectives. Movement of joints, engagement of muscles, and the influence of yoga on the nervous, circulatory, and endocrine systems.
  • Yoga Philosophy & Ethics: Get familiar with the yogic heart from the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, Bhagavad Gita, and other ancient scriptures. Live and teach the yogic way — beyond the physical realm.
  • Pranayama and Breathwork: Harness healing, focus, and clarity through ancient breathing methods to manipulate prana or life-force energy.
  • Meditation & Mindfulness: It involves guided meditation, mantra chanting, and periods of silence designed to calm the mind and redirect awareness inward.
  • Alignments & Adjustments: Get into hands-on work with posture alignment, verbal cues, and physical adjustments to help your prospective students practice safely.
  • Self-Practice & Self-Discovery: The program isn't only about becoming a yoga teacher — the idea is self-growth and rediscovery. Journaling, reflective practices, and Satsangs (spiritual talks) are featured in your schedule.

Ashtanga Yoga Module

In this Ashtanga module, you learn a structured sequence linked with breath and focused attention. It helps you build strength, stamina, and discipline while understanding how to practice safely.

You also learn alignment cues, safe adjustments, and class sequencing under close teacher guidance. By the end of the module, you can lead a clear beginner-friendly Ashtanga class with confidence.

Our Goa campus offers focused training in a relaxed beachside setting. If you want to continue after this course, you can move from this 200-hour foundation into the 300 hour yoga teacher training in Goa for deeper study.

Hatha Yoga Module

This Hatha module focuses on steady practice, breath awareness, and foundational alignment. It is ideal for beginners and for students who want to build depth in traditional yoga methods.

Classes cover posture alignment, breath control, and mindful movement, along with core Hatha philosophy. Because batches are small, teachers can give personal feedback throughout your practice.

After this training, students usually feel ready to teach Hatha to mixed-level groups and to bring these principles into their own daily routine.

We offer dorm, shared cottage, and private cottage stays on the same campus — so you can pick what fits your budget and need for privacy. This makes our 200 Hour YTT Goa program open to everyone.

Our prices are lower than many other yoga schools in Goa, but the quality of training is always high. Our campus is close to Arambol Beach. After class, you can walk to the beach, enjoy the sunset, and relax. Classes are kept small, with only 10–15 students per batch. This gives each student personal attention from the teachers.

All our teachers are qualified and experienced. They guide you step by step and make sure you feel supported at every stage of your yoga TTC in Goa. This mix of clear accommodation tiers, beachside location, small batch size, and certified teachers is why many students say we are the best 200 Hour YTT in Goa.
